I, Dan (Ruby’s Dad), am running the London Marathon 2025 to support Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). This fundraiser gives you the chance to win a cash prize while donating to a great cause.
50% of all proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the closest guess. The remaining amount will go directly to GOSH to support their vital work.
Why This Fundraiser Matters
Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) provides life-saving treatments to children with serious medical conditions. My personal journey with GOSH as a parent has shown me how vital their services are. By participating in this fundraiser, you are directly contributing to their incredible work, ensuring that more children get the medical support they need.

How It Works
- Purchase an entry for £20.
- Choose a full-minute time slot (e.g., 3:30 means 3:30:00 – 3:30:59).
- Only one entry per minute is available, so grab yours before someone else does!
- The closest guess to my official finish time, recorded by the London Marathon tracker, wins 50% of the total funds raised.
- The remaining funds go to GOSH to support their essential work.
- The winner will be contacted after the official results are confirmed.
All participants and their selected times will be displayed below for transparency.

My Marathon Training Journey
Preparing for a marathon is no small feat. As Ruby’s father, this challenge is deeply personal. My daughter was under the care of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), and now, every mile I run is a tribute to her journey and the incredible work they do.
Training for this marathon means months of dedication, running hundreds of miles, and pushing through both physical and mental challenges. Balancing training with everyday responsibilities is tough, but knowing that I’m running for the hospital that helped Ruby keeps me motivated.
I’ve faced injuries, struggled through long runs, and had moments where I wanted to quit, but overcoming these obstacles makes the journey all the more rewarding. - Each entry costs £20 and is considered a donation to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
- Entries close on the day of the London Marathon 2025 – Sunday, 27th April 2025.
- Guesses must be submitted before race day.
- Your guess is for a full minute. For example, if you guess 3 hours 30 minutes, that includes any time from 3:30:00 to 3:30:59.
- Only one guess is allowed per time slot. Once a time slot is taken, it is locked and cannot be selected by anyone else.
- The closest guess to my official London Marathon finish time, as recorded by the official marathon tracker, wins.
- All proceeds go directly to charity and are non-refundable.
- All buyers and their chosen times will be displayed below, ensuring transparency.
- The winner will be contacted via phone or email after the official results are confirmed.
- By entering, participants agree to have their name and guessed time publicly displayed.
