TCS London Marathon 2025
Running for GOSH – Our Biggest Challenge Yet!
The London Marathon 2025 is more than just a race—it's a mission. This year, we're taking on the ultimate running challenge to raise vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH)
Why This Race Matters
The London Marathon is one of the world's most iconic races, spanning 26.2 miles through the heart of the capital. For me, this isn’t just another run — it’s the biggest challenge I've ever faced.
A Personal Journey with a Bigger Purpose
My journey with running started not as a hobby, but as a way to give back.

I’ve got my bib number – it’s official.
Everyone sees the bib number and race day smiles — but no one talks about the months leading up to the marathon.
The late nights. The freezing rain. The missed plans because you’ve got a long run. The injuries that knock you back just when you’re getting into a rhythm. The chest infections that wipe out a week and leave you feeling like you’re starting from scratch.
Training for a marathon isn’t a straight line. It’s progress, setbacks, and the stubborn decision to keep going anyway.
It’s not just 26.2 miles on the day — it’s hundreds of miles in the dark, in the cold, and when no one’s watching. And I’ve felt every one of them.
I’ll be starting in Green Wave 4, around 11am.
It feels like a privilege to be part of that start zone — a smaller group where a lot of the charity runners and even a few celebs set off.
We’re not at the front with the elites, but we’re running with purpose. Everyone in that wave has a story, a reason, and something driving them.
I’m proud to be one of them.
For me this has been the most difficult challenge I’ve endured (so far), with me wanting to quit training more times than I can count.
But your donations, your support and thinking what incredible work Great Ormond Street has done for Ruby and others keeps me going.

3 days to go!
Nerves are really starting to settle in, after picking up my Bib Number.
I decided to head to the London Excel Arena early to avoid the madness Saturday.
Suprisingly, alot of other runners were on the trains from Norfolk – when speaking to them, it was great to hear that “maranoia” was being shared.
On arriving, I went straight to the bib collection points, and had this wave of emotion come over me. It all suddenly became very real!
The lady took my QR code, and asked how I was doing, and if I was looking forward to Race Day.
With my eyes welling up, I simply replied, “It’s been really tough, but I’m as ready as I can be.”
2 days to go!
It's London Marathon eve eve. We are getting our stuff ready for travelling tomorrow.
Today, I’m feeling alot more hopeful. After the Expo experience yesterday, and seeing everyone is in the same boat – I realised I’m not alone.
Some people have travelled the world for years running, and only just got into the London Marathon.
On the flip side, there are people like me – their first-ever Marathon.
I feel truly blessed to have this opportunity. And everyone taking part is going thorugh the same motions. We ask ourselves questions: Can I manage this injury? What if I don’t carb-up perfectly? How hot is it going to be on the day?
