RBC Race For The Kids
Running for a Cause That’s Close to Our Hearts
Our journey with RBC Race for the Kids started in 2024, inspired by Louise Hubbard, one of our Heart Mummies, who had taken part in the event multiple times.
Knowing how much GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital) had done for our children, we saw this as the perfect way to get our kids involved in something truly meaningful.
It was more than just a run—it was a chance for them to feel part of a bigger movement, raising funds and awareness for the hospital that had been there for them every step of the way.
2025: A Community United
In 2025, we returned to RBC Race for the Kids—but this time, with all the Heart Mummies and their families.
What started as a small idea quickly turned into something much bigger. Our team, made up of parents, siblings, and friends, ran together, united by our shared experiences and our gratitude to GOSH.
The impact was bigger than we could have imagined. GOSH and social media picked up our story, sharing how a group of families connected through their children’s journeys had come together for this event. The support and attention led to an incredible moment—we were invited to share our story on BBC Look East, bringing even more awareness to congenital heart defects (CHD) and the life-changing work done by GOSH.
Why We Run
For us, RBC Race for the Kids isn’t just about running. It’s about standing together, celebrating the strength of our children, and giving back to the hospital that has given us so much.
